Addressing Drop Out phenomena in vocational schools

Dropping out is a sensitive topic for vocational schools in Albania. S4J is very much focused to address the phenomena. The project has engaged with 10 teachers and psychologists from the six schools it supports to develop proactive approaches and capacitate them to assist the students in risk of drop out.

With technical support from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU), a methodology was developed. As part of this methodology, a package of instruments (Observation and Intervention tool) was finalized during April 2018. These instruments will be first tested and then used by all room teachers for the newly enrolled students in September 2018.
