3-7 June 2018: study visit in Switzerland
At ‘Skills for Jobs’ S4J we understand the important role of a qualitative VET system in building a strong economy. The model that Switzerland has developed is a great example for this.
To get more familiar with the positive aspects and challenges of this model, ‘Skills for Jobs’ S4J frequently organizes study tours in Switzerland with important actors from the Albanian VET field.
The upcoming visit will take place from 3 to 7 June 2018. The list of participants is composed of school directors, Development Unit staff, business representatives, representatives from partner organizations such as UNDP, and representatives from policy level institutions: The National Agency for VET and Qualifications and Ministry of Economy and Finance.
All participants know the fundamental principles of the swiss dVET system and how it functions. After the study tour, they will be more familiar with what should and could be adapted in the Albanian framework and what the key requirements for a successful implementation are.
The provision of training places by the private sector, the coordination among the three training places, the career counselling services, the matching processes and the design and implementation of school curricula are of special interest.
In addition, the study tour serves as platform to establish contacts and discuss twinning possibilities on an informal level. Participants will also visit the Swiss Textile School (STF), the BBZ school in Biel and IDM school in Thun. The latter two have signed twinning agreements with Albanian schools.
