‘’Hamdi Bushati’ school and business partners participate in sippo value-added textile mission
In October, ‘Skills for Jobs’ supported the participation of ‘Hamdi Bushati’ textile school students and textile partner companies in a series of textile industry events. The activities were organized by the Swiss Import Promotion Programme (SIPPO), a global program operated by Swisscontact.
The mission aimed to identify value-added companies that provide more services than traditional ‘façon’ companies and that are interested to compete in attractive European markets. These companies will be supported by SIPPO through AIDA with opportunities to participate in international fairs, trainings on export, networking with EU companies and other activities that stimulate the qualitative and quantitative growth of Albanian exports, as well as employment.
The mission team visited 12 companies in Shkodra, Tirana and Durrës, four out of which (Madish, Melgusha, Marsey, Moda Confex) support the textile school in Shkodra with apprenticeships and GSD schemes for the students. In addition, the companies participated in thematic meeting at the Expocity’s Textile, Leather and Fashion fair in Tirana, where ‘Hamdi Bushati’ students also showcased their most creative works.
