Inauguration of gati.al, the platform serving the ‘on demand economy’
‘Skills for Jobs’ S4J supports and promotes initiatives that facilitate a smooth transition of students and trainees from school or training to the world of work. Gati.al, the platform for freelance professionals, is among these.
Gati.al serves the rapid changing world of work. It encourages insertion in the labour market through self-employment and use of new ways (digital tools). The digital platform, winner of the ‘ICT Mobility of the Year’ prize, serves as the bridge between client needs and professionals (or professional teams). People who need any professional service, post their ‘job’ and self-employed professionals (or company teams) will react and propose. The client can then choose between different offers. This is – simplified – how gati.al works. More than 2,600 professionals are registered in the platform ready to offer you their services.
On June 19, 2018, Gati.al hosted an event to inform the public about the new features of the platform and announce a national campaign to promote the platform among freelancers. Ms. Dajna Sorensen, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy, Mr. Phillip Keller, Charge d’Affairs i.e. at the Embassy of Switzerland in Albania and Mr. Henry Leerentveld, Director Eastern Europe Swisscontact shared with the audience their thoughts on how the freelance work is growing rapidly and how the technological revolution is making it easier for young freelance professionals to find work through apps.
