Better Informed Career Choices by Youngsters through Profile Requirements

Choosing a career is a very important step for the future of young people, which requires the support of parents, teachers, and career counselors.

To assist in this process, Skills for Jobs has drafted profile requirements for 26 professions to give young people an overview of skills needed by their desired profession. They show the physical, personal and social requirements on competencies acquired in school, leading to the reflection: Can I meet these requirements? Do I want to complete them? Through these profile descriptions, students of 9-year schools and vocational education understand what the minimum required competences are to pursue an upskilling program and consequently work in the desired profession.

On the 4th and 5th of March, S4J met with teachers of Technical Economic School in Tirana, who are collaborating in drafting profile requirements for Business-Economics and Textile-Garments profiles as follows:

  • Tour Agency Management
  • Insurance
  • Textiles
  • Tailoring
  • Modeling
  • Leather Galantery
