34 New Subjects Now Available in MësoVET
A significant milestone has been reached in enriching the vocational education curriculum. Comprehensive digital learning materials have been developed, covering 100% of the content for 34 subjects across six key vocational education fields: Business and Economics, Hospitality and Tourism, Electrical Engineering, Vehicle Services, ICT (Information and Communication Technology), and Social and Healthcare Services.
Skills for Jobs (S4J) provided support for the Social and Healthcare Services field, introducing for the first time 13 new vocational theory subjects. This collaborative effort involved 21 authors, 3 pedagogical experts, and 4 digitalization specialists. All these resources are now readily available on the MësoVET platform.
To effectively promote these new digital learning materials, a three-day online marathon was held in March, featuring thematic presentations organized by subject groups. Participants, including teachers supporting digitalization in vocational schools, were introduced to the new subjects and the development process directly by the authors and pedagogical experts.
Representatives from 20 schools nationwide, offering these six specializations, actively participated in the event. The sessions underscored the critical role of mentorship, practical experience, and the effective utilization of the MësoVET platform for integrating digital didactic content and innovative learning technologies into classroom instruction.
This advancement in creating digital learning materials not only significantly enhances available educational resources but also paves the way towards a more contemporary, engaging, and adaptable vocational education model aligned with current demands. The accessibility of these materials through MësoVET will serve as an invaluable asset for both teachers and students across the country, ultimately contributing to improved quality and effectiveness in vocational teaching and learning.
