Faster and Better Employment Through Post-Graduate Programs

Private sector companies are making a notable contribution to the design and delivery of vocational education in partnership with ‘Skills for Jobs’ partner providers. Based on feedback from private sector companies, partner providers are committed to adapt their offer to labour market needs. This, in turn, leads to faster labour market transitions for men and women graduating, more qualified employees and increased productivity for companies.

The Technical-Economic School of Tirana (SHTET) is the first VE school to offer post-secondary non-tertiary programs corresponding to Level 5 of the Albanian Qualification Framework (AQF). In the 2020-2021 academic year, SHTET is offering the two-year program – Fashion Design. This program is designed for adults and prepares both individuals for entry to professions and those seeking to upgrade their skills. It is geared towards more practical, work-place related competences.

The program can be attended by all young men and women who have successfully completed secondary education and offers a certification as fashion designer. After completing the program, they can be employed as fashion designers in clothing manufacturing enterprises, craft workshops and fashion ateliers, or become self-employed.
