How do VET Graduates Perform in the Labor Market?
During May, all S4J partner schools underwent the pre-tracer process for 2020-2021 Matura students. This process aims to update and enrich students’ contact data and understand their expectations about their future in the labor market. The pre-tracer process for students graduating in June takes place every May through an online questionnaire and represents one of the preceding steps before the tracer process.
The pre-tracer study showed that 33% of Matura students were employed before graduating from school. Moreover, directions such as: Transportation Services, Hospitality-Tourism and Mechanics had the highest employment rate with respectively 52%, 50% and 47%. Meanwhile, in June, began the tracer process of last years’ graduates.
Tracer studies provide a clearer picture of the performance of graduates from VE schools in the labor market, measuring employment situation of graduates up to one year after graduation. This year, S4J partner schools will trace the fifth generation of VE graduates.
