MësoVET: Empowering VET in Albania Through a Scalable Virtual Learning Environment

After a technical upgrade, MësoVET continues to be an important tool supporting efforts to digitize vocational education in Albania. The transition to the Moodle Workplace 4.0 version has given this environment a strong foundation to offer a rich, clear and consistent experience for all users: teachers, students, management and support staff of vocational schools.

MësoVET now has a more intuitive interface, with simplified navigation and customizable panels that have significantly improved interaction in this digital environment. One of the most important features of the upgrade is “multi-tenancy”, which allows each vocational school to operate within a dedicated space in MësoVET with relevant subjects, roles and personalized views, while maintaining both centralized management and stable technical coordination.

Additionally, advanced reporting tools, individual learning plans, automatic rules for student registration and certification, and performance optimizations during high-load periods such as national exams or intensive training have been added.

MësoVET, this virtual learning environment specifically designed for vocational education and training, has served more than 15,000 students and 900 teachers over the years. There are currently over 8,900 active users, a figure that continues to grow due to the demands of schools across the country to benefit from this digital solution. The Skills for Jobs (S4J) team continues to support the expansion of the use of this environment by assisting schools in configuration, training, and adaptation according to their specific needs.

At the same time, the process of transferring MësoVET to Albanian institutions has also begun with the aim of ensuring the long-term sustainability and full integration of this environment into the national VET system.

This is an important step towards a modern vocational school where technology is a constant companion in the learning process.
