S4J’s Role in Optimizing Dual VET: School, Mentor, and Student Engagement

Between February and April, “Skills for Jobs” (S4J) facilitated a series of technical meetings across 10 Albanian VET schools offering dual VET. These sessions engaged key stakeholders, including company mentors, and students, to:

  • Enhance the capacity of VET institutions in effectively managing dual education programs.
  • Establish a clear and consistent framework for student evaluation and monitoring during workplace learning.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the collaborative approach involving students, parents, and employers.
  • Equip company mentors with the necessary skills to accurately complete student evaluation forms.
  • Empower students by providing comprehensive information about the evaluation process and its importance.
  • Ensure that teachers responsible for internship oversight have a thorough understanding of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Provide students with a platform to voice their progress, challenges, and recommendations, directly informing program refinement.

These meetings resulted in a strengthened dual VET system, with S4J remaining dedicated to its ongoing support.
