Towards Strong VET Institutions: National Training on the Institutional Planning and Monitoring Cycle

Skills for Jobs (S4J) in collaboration with the National Agency for Employment and Skills (NAES), concluded a series of national training sessions, marking a significant step in strengthening the capacities of Vocational Education and Training (VET) institutions. Organized during March and April, these training sessions focused on the Institutional Planning and Monitoring Cycle, aiming to improve the efficiency and sustainability of vocational schools across the country.

The training sessions, moderated by a team of experts comprising Assoc. Prof. Dr. Semiha Loca, Dr. Lediana Xhakollari, Irma Semini, and Gertian Bajraktari, covered essential topics that are critical to the successful functioning of VET institutions. Participants were introduced to the techniques and strategies of annual and mid-term planning, as well as were trained in the methodologies of monitoring annual and mid-term plans. Special attention was paid to the role of NAES in supporting and monitoring the planning processes in schools, ensuring that these institutions are equipped with the necessary tools to achieve their objectives.

Besides increasing the knowledge of the participants, this training created a platform for the exchange of best practices and collaboration among vocational schools.
