This new academic year we have expanded our support by including in the list of partner schools, the “Fan S. Noli” School in Korca. On December 2, 2022, the cooperation agreement was signed, making “Fan S. Noli” School officially one of the partner schools of the “Skills for Jobs” project.

The Ambassador of Switzerland in Albania, Ruth Huber, the Resident Coordinator of the UNDP, Fiona McCluney, and the Director of Swisscontact Albania, Jan van Montfort, visited the ICT VET School “Fan S. Noli” in Korça. During this visit, we presented the initiatives that will be undertaken as part of the school’s transformation process, while Ambassador Huber exchanged ideas and thoughts with the students, teachers, and the school director, Ms. Julita Bimbli.

The school’s business relations coordinator, together with the “Skills for Jobs” project team, held over 60 meetings with various businesses in Korça. Today, only 6 weeks later, we count 23 memorandums of understanding with companies in Korça, who are ready to welcome the students of “Fan S. Noli” school, to start their first career steps in apprenticeships. We have also started working on improving the hardware and software infrastructure of the school to make “Fan S. Noli” school a suitable and motivating environment for its students.
