S4j supports partner vet providers undertake the self-assessment process

Through a sector-wide model, all public vocational education institutions are undergoing the self-assessment process. The exercise, which is due to be finalised in spring 2019, will help the institutions evaluate a range of areas and factors that influence their performance. In addition, the outputs of the process will help design the vision and future strategies of the institutions.

All S4J partner VET providers have started the process in the last trimester of 2018. Each institution selected a working group, which will lead and oversee the assessment using a set of tools developed by UNDP’s ‘Skills Development for Employment’ project, funded by Swiss Development and Cooperation in Albania.

The outputs of the process will help the institutions to design their mid-term and yearly plans for the upcoming academic years, as well as feed valuable information to the long-term planning process for the development of each institution. We will keep you informed for further updates.
