Skills for Jobs Supports the Albanian Government in the Dual VET Initiative

During the month of July, in the meeting organized by the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Prime Minister Edi Rama and Deputy Minister Olta Manjani presented the new reform in VET: the implementation of the dual system in VET and the creation of the National Training Fund.

Skills for Jobs (S4J), now in its third phase, will continue to support the Albanian government in the implementation of this crucial reform for the development of human capital in Albania.

Starting from September 2024, this initiative will be implemented in 10 vocational schools, in 6 regions of the country. VET students will have the opportunity to learn by working in companies where they will work for at least 3 days a week in the following directions: Tourism-Hospitality, ICT, Transport Vehicle Services and Electrotechnics.

Skills for Jobs, inspired by the Swiss model, brings many years of experience in aligning VET providers with the private sector to improve quality in VET.
