The new academic year marks new investments in s4j partner vet providers
‘Skills for Jobs’ S4J is keen on providing all the necessary equipment and infrastructure in order that partner VET providers offer a higher quality of learning. Safe, comfortable, fully equipped learning spaces are essential in ensuring delivery of learning processes that go by modern standards.
During the first few months of the new academic year, new investments will be carried out in our partner VET providers in Shkodra, Lezha, and Vlora. These consist in new Blended Learning classrooms, IT labs, refurbished common spaces and teacher lounges.
New Infoteques or ‘modern day libraries’ will be adapted at ‘Tregtare’ school in Vlora and ‘Kolin Gjoka’ school in Lezha premises. The new spaces will be used by students, teachers and members of the local community to work on their projects during and after school hours.
In early 2019, a workshop for servicing e-Cars will be installed at the industrial ‘Pavaresia’ school in Vlora. This workshop is dedicated to students enrolled in the auto mechanic and electro-technic branches. It will play an immerse role in equipping the young professionals with the necessary knowledge and ‘hands-on’ experience on electronic vehicles’ maintenance.
In this workshop, a new course on servicing e-Cars will be offered, in partnership with experts from the Chamber of Crafts for Frankfurt Region (HWK). The course aims to provide the necessary knowledge on electromobility infrastructure and required skills to become part of the automotive industry of the future. A ‘training of trainers’ course for ‘Pavarësia’ teachers and Vlora VTC instructors will be delivered by the experts in march 2019.
In a few months, ‘Gjergj Canco’ students in Tirana will enjoy the benefits of learning in a 3D printing lab and tourism and hospitality students at ‘Tregtare’ school in Vlora will spend their theoretical learning hours in the newly refurbished kitchen.
New investments will be available also at the Vlora Vocational Training Center. In a few months, employees of the center will assist trainees in choosing the most suitable vocational direction for them in the new Development Unit space that will be constructed. A new IT lab will be at disposal for trainees enrolled in the Webmaster course, which was piloted during the first half of 2018.
As market needs point to new emerging professions related to the digital industry, S4J will also invest in a Media lab. It will serve to trainees enrolled in courses that will soon be included in the VTC’s offer, such as graphic design, multimedia, etc.
