Tracking report: how has the situation of vet graduates in the labor market changed?
Tracking is about tracking graduate or certified students from school one year after graduation or certification. During this process, the student is asked about his / her transition from the educational institution to the labor market, working conditions, the compatibility between the completed curriculum and work, as well as the retrospective evaluation of the school, based on the demands of the labor market.
The “Skills for Work” project has supported the piloting and establishment of a tracking system at the provider level in 7 provider institutions (6 vocational education schools and 1 training center):
· Technological high school “Hamdi Bushati”, Shkodra
· Vocational school “Kolin Gjoka”, Lezha
· “Kristo Isak” Vocational High School, Berat
· Technical-electrical school “Gjergj Canco”, Tirana
· Industrial School “Independence”, Vlora
· Vlora Commercial School
· Vlora Vocational Training Center
This tracking system fulfills two important purposes:
a) Monitoring of main labor market indicators for school graduates (data on the ratio of employees, self-employed, unemployed, etc.);
b) Assessing the link between education and work for school graduates.
This enables the institution to have reliable and up-to-date data on the employment status of its graduates, as well as to prepare students who meet the demands of the labor market.
