VET Dualization: A Commitment of the Albanian Government Supported by S4J
In July, during a meeting organized by the Albanian Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, Prime Minister Edi Rama and Deputy Minister Mrs. Olta Manjani unveiled a new initiative to reform VET: the implementation of dual VET and the establishment of the National Training Fund.
Prime Minister Rama underscored the importance of implementing such an initiative in Albania, drawing inspiration from successful models like the Swiss dual VET system. He emphasized that this is a key priority for the Albanian Government until 2030 in the context of the National Strategy for Employment and Skills 2023-2030.

Skills for Jobs (S4J), now in its third phase, will continue to provide unwavering support to the Albanian government as it implements this transformative initiative aimed at developing human capital in Albania.
This initiative is being implemented in 10 vocational schools across 6 regions of the country, with the involvement of over 100 companies. Vocational school students will gain practical experience not only within the classroom but also in companies where they will work for 3 days per week in specific profiles within the following fields: Hospitality-Tourism, ICT, Transport Vehicle Services, and Electrotechnics.
