Digitalization of the VET Offer
In its Phase 3, Skills for Jobs will intensify its efforts to enhance digitalization within vocational education and training (VET). The primary focus will be on systematically integrating digital solutions and technologies into the teaching methods of selected VET institutions, in line with the strategic priorities of the National Digitalization Roadmap on the ICT-supported modernization of the VET sector. The main objectives of this intervention are:
- VET students engage in participatory, collaborative, adaptive blended learning and online formative and summative assessment.
- VET institutions promote effective ICT-supported learning/teaching approaches to support students to acquire market-relevant skills and/or access to higher education.
- In an extended VET eco-system VET institutions and government agencies will innovate the VET offer together with partners, such as local businesses, industry, or public partners.
More concretely, the project will support the consolidation of the digital solutions in “champion schools” so that these achievements can be further disseminated in the whole Albanian VET system. Mesovet.al, the Moodle-based virtual learning platform powered by S4J, will enable these ICT-supported solutions related to blended learning, hybrid learning in post-secondary programs, effective and efficient planning, documenting, monitoring and assessment in teaching, as well as integration of digital solutions for more efficient internal administrative processes. To support these efforts, a culture of exchange will be fostered by means of Communities of Practice focused on the digital transformation of the VET system.
The aim is to create a solid foundation for the sustained integration of digital solutions within VET providers. By enhancing the digital capabilities of educators, promoting collaboration, and ensuring effective utilization of digital tools, the project intends to pave the way for a successful and enduring digital transformation in vocational education and training.
