Enhancing the VET Offer by Addressing Market Needs
The “Skills for Jobs” project, in collaboration with the National Agency for Education, Vocational Training, and Qualifications (NAEVTQ), is dedicated to developing professional standards and qualifications descriptions for the post-secondary program “Management-Diagnostics in Auto Service”. This initiative is being implemented with active involvement from professionals in the private sector to ensure that the program aligns with market demands.
To kickstart the process, a dedicated working group was assembled in December to draft comprehensive professional standards for this program. The establishment of a solid “Profession Standard” paves the way to refining the respective national curriculum.

The “Diagnostic Management in Auto-Service” program corresponds to Level V within the Albanian Framework of Qualifications. This one-year program is designed for individuals who have completed vocational school in the “Transport Vehicle Services” direction or are already employed in the automotive service sector. Graduates of this program can pursue career paths as Diagnostic of Automobile Irregularities or Manager in auto-service, with an additional opportunity to obtain licensing as a Technical Director in auto-service.
By addressing labor market demands, post-secondary programs like this target graduates from general and professional education backgrounds. By doing so, they contribute to reducing the unemployment rate among young individuals while enabling them to secure more stable and rewarding employment opportunities.
