In May, Skills for Jobs” (S4J) in cooperation with the National Agency for Employment and Skills (NAES), organised a two-day training programme entitled “The Role of Leadership in Digital Transformation in Vocational Schools”. The training brought together school directors, deputy directors, Development Unit coordinators and MesoVET administrators from six vocational schools.
Led by Dr. Nada Kallçiu from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Tirana, the training addressed key topics including digital leadership, change management, building a digital culture and developing school-level action plans.
Through practical exercises and role-play activities, participants explored common challenges related to digital transformation, such as resistance to change, adoption of digital tools and staff engagement. Discussions highlighted the importance of leadership in fostering trust, collaboration and a culture of continuous learning.
The training concluded with group work focused on identifying concrete actions that schools can implement to advance their digital transformation efforts and strengthen the integration of digital practices into everyday school life.
