During April and May, Skills for Jobs (S4J) in cooperation with the National Agency for Employment and Skills (NAES), organised two thematic exchange sessions on annual planning, focusing on three strategic priorities for vocational schools:
- Private sector engagement
- Digitalisation
- Institutional development
The events brought together representatives of vocational schools, public institutions and the S4J project team to reflect on the quality of annual plans as key instruments for school management and institutional development.
Representatives from vocational schools outside the S4J partner network were also invited to participate, fostering broader knowledge exchange and peer learning across the VET system.
Through group work and plenary discussions, participants reviewed the clarity and feasibility of objectives related to private sector engagement, digitalisation and institutional development. They also assessed the coherence of planned activities, reflected on progress achieved to date, discussed challenges encountered during implementation, and identified practical recommendations for improving the planning process in the coming year.
The exchanges provided an opportunity for schools to learn from one another’s experiences and reinforced the importance of evidence-based planning as a driver of continuous improvement and sustainable development within the vocational education and training system.
