E gjithë kjo e koordinuar nga qendrat e ardhshme të karrierës që do të ngrihen pranë shkollave profesionale partnere Pavarësia dhe Tregtare Vlorë, ku do të vendosen dhe menaxhohen lidhjet të drejtpërdrejta me biznesin.
Së bashku me shkollat partnere, ekipi i projektit Aftësi për Punë pati kënaqësinë të mbështeste me këtë rast edhe Lancimin e Rrjetit Rajonal të Bizneseve të Vlorës.

25 kompanitë e para të këtij rrjeti, do të bashkëpunojnë me shkollat duke filluar nga praktikat profesionale, sponsorizimet, deri tek programet e aftësimit, materialet mësimore dhe vlerësimin e nxënësve. Kjo e parë veçanërisht në sektorë premtues si Hoteleri & Turizëm, Ndërtimi (profesionet e lidhura me eficensën e energjisë), Tekstili (profesionet high-tech), si dhe Teknologjia e Informacionit, ku sipas bizneseve ka mungesa të vazhdueshme për staf të kualifikuar.
“Ne si sipërmarrës, nuk mund të presim nga shteti të plotësojë nevojat tona për staf të kualifikuar. Duhet ti drejtohemi dyerve të shkollave profesionale e të gjejmë modelet e duhura të partneritetit me përfitim dypalësh,” – tha Z. Zak Topuzi, Kryetar i Hotelierëve Shqiptarë, në fjalën e tij.

Skills for Jobs team finds enticing ways to attract local companies to VET.

Making the businesses more engaged in skills development starts with bringing entrepreneurs and VET providers together. Skills for Jobs did just that. Picture a speed-dating format, where 25 companies get to know how the public VET providers in Vlora plan to improve the quality of graduates with the support of the SDC-funded Skills for Jobs project. These companies provided feedback on the proposed steps, introduced to them at the beginning of each meal course. And so it happened.

Skills for Jobs staff shifted to various tables through rotation, until all participating entrepreneurs were able to make suggestions based on their needs for qualified staff in the selected sectors of ICT, hospitality, construction and textile. During the meeting, the concept of Gradual Skills Development Schemes that include various work-based learning methods, was also presented to the companies for the first time. The schemes were considered as feasible and necessary, while adjustment to their implementation were proposed.
“Despite the beautiful landscape and continuous in-job staff training, the service industry in Vlora often fails to get customers happy. We need to change this with better cooperation with vocational schools,” pointed out the owner of a popular hotel in Vlora.

As it goes, at the end of a speed-dating event, the participants have to state their interest. Companies pledged their commitment to a variety of cooperation options with the Industrial School Pavarësia, Commercial School, and Public Training Center of Vlora such as internships, apprenticeship, leadership storytelling, curricula development and open business days. Skills for Jobs will organize similar meetings also in Lezha and Berat.
